ArcConvert is a little freeware converter, which may function as a standalone application directly from portable storage devices. It’s a practical instrument for converting compressed files to other archiving format.
Its interface is pretty efficient, all the necessary options being condensed in a small window. The user has the possibility to browse and open an existent archive, and to choose the format he wish to create. After setting this, it can be verified the status of the file and it allows to select priority to speed up the conversion process.
It recognizes and creates many data compression formats such as zip, cab, arj, 7zip, rar, arc, tar, gz, msi, zlib, ace, tgz and several others.
Arcconvert has the ability to identify the password-protected archives, and it let the user decide whether to keep the initial password or to add a new one.
What is new? DPInfo95 (find the latest InnoSetup).
The pros It is practical and fast.
Freely distributed.
The cons It doesn't include Help file.
