Review and how it works

STOIK Noise Autofix proposes some ultimate automatic noise reduction algorithms known in the imaging field.
The noise reduction utility can deal with photos that come from various sources for example digital cameras, cameraphones or scanners.
Its three leading modules are noise detector, the analyzer and a suppression filter.
Finding the problems and distinguishing them from natural textures or fine details of a photo is essential and is founded on the statistical Bayesian classifier. Being already pre-trained on several standard types the algorithm goes further allowing to be additionally trained for learning taking into account new patterns.
The analyzer calculates various parameters to build the profiles for deciding what filter parameters will be optimal for the specific case of the original image and quality criteria.
The chosen noise removal filter will process the photo to reduce noise level without ignoring the importance of preserving the image quality and details.
The filtering starts by utilizing a multi resolution representation of the image.
During filtration the decisions are made based on a statistic optimal criterion whether a certain element should be removed or not. Once the decision is clear it applies various methods to process it further.
This utility also contains automatic Smart Sharpening filter as an optional post-processing program.
