Review and how it works
bcTester was thought as a freeware utility for barcode reading (linear and 2 dimensional) on digital photos captured by scanning or photographing.
Lots of input kinds are possible by bcTester Barcode, e.g. BMP, GIF, PNG, TIFF, JPG. The current release reads barcodes from Adobe PDF-Files , too.
All usual barcode types are recognized,, e. g. 2 of 5 familiy, code 39, code 93, codabar, code128, ean and upc, patchcodes, DataMatrix, QR Code and PDF 417.

What is new?
BcTester reads barcodes from photos produced by scanners or cameras.
Linear barcodes may be recognized but also new 2D-(two dimensional) barcodes data matrix, pdf417 and QR Code.
