Aston2 Menu opens the new line of Aston2 tools, which turn your desktop into a yet more opportune and nice environment. The current release is developed on an absolutely new engine, created from scratch.
The product line incorporates three basic products: Aston2 Menu, which replaces the typical Windows start menu. Panels, that is able to replace Windows taskbar and yet enhance the shell functionality.
Aston2 Desktop, which replaces Windows Explorer desktop and may be filled with each widgets and icons. It may be considered the combination of all the above components. But which of them to utilize is fully by end-user's choice.
There are a lot planned tools for the future Aston2 Menu edition.

Brief details
- Themes and skins support. Aston2 settings are split into two parts - theme settings and private settings. All Aston2 widgets are skinnable: you may vary the skin of each element;
- Widgets support (This demo release encloses the following default widgets: Clock, Calendar, Recycle bin, Disks, on/off control, Search, Toplist, Username, Weather and Uninstall). Widgets may be built into the desktop, panels or popup menus;
- Quick and helpful search for the files on the local disks and for the information in the Internet;
- Personalizable configuration. Every element of the menu may be tweaked and configured, thus letting one to build yet more helpful working area. The same concerns Aston 2 Panels and Aston 2 Desktop , too;
- Animation support in every aspect of Aston2: smooth widgets opening and moving, animated wallpaper, animated icons as well as a variety of elements of skinned widgets;
- Is provided both in Aston1 shell (staring from 1.9.5 version) and in Explorer shell.
- Drag'n'Drop operations support, easy to understand interface;
- Unicode support;
- XML standard, used for all the parameters setup;
- Translated support;
- Plug-ins support.
