IconEdit2 was intended as a TrueColor Icon Editor for Windows 9x/ME/NT4/200x/XP and Vista.
IconEdit2 has option for ICO, ICL, NIL, EXE, DLL, GIF, TIFF, BMP, JPEG and PNG files for open/extract/convert to icons.
The application can save your work as 48x48, 32x32 or 16x16 ICO (TrueColor, 256-color or 16-color), but also GIF, TIFF, BMP, JPEG or PNG files.
It helps you to paint, undo/redo, search for icons in and capture screen areas. Image rotation, different adjustments and filters also on hand. It includes a library of sample icons.
IconEdit2 offers single-window, easy to understand interface to edit icons. At the left there was intended as a drawing area.
The user can draw icon image operating with diverse drawing utilities.

Ellipse utility Makes Possible user to draw ellipses - outlined or filled with current drawing color.
Rectangle utility Makes Possible user to draw rectangles - outlined or filled with current drawing color.
The Spray utility enables the user to draw soft-edged spots or wide lines with current drawing color.
The Fill utility assists the user to fill uniform-colored areas, bounded by other colors, with current drawing color.
A Search utility makes possible to search folders in the hard (or floppy, or CD, or network, or other) drive to find icons in *.ICO, *.EXE, *.DLL files, as well as bitmaps in *.BMP, *.GIF, *.TIF, *.TIFF, *.JPG, *.JPEG, *.PNG files which are possible to convert to icons.
Camera utility Makes Possible user to make snapshots of each screen area.
Hand utility Makes Possible user to shift drawing in each direction.
Color thermometer is a utility that permits to pick drawing color from the drawing itself.
Enter text utility makes possible for the user to write text;
Pick utility designed to select areas.
