The Panorama Factory makes pleasing panoramas from a set of overlapping digital photos. You have the ability to add image hotspots, export to VR kinds and generate web pages that link the photos into virtual tours.
The panorama program also corrects for lens-induced distortions and makes either cylindrical or spherical image projections.
Further functions include onscreen zoom, support for digital SLRs, correction for barrel distortion, correction for brightness falloff and real-time controls.
Panorama Factory makes photos that rival those made by expensive rotational and swing-lens panoramic cameras. Not only can The Panorama Factory facilitate making of immersive VR worlds, it brings functions for the fine-art panoramic photographer who wishes to work from ordinary 35mm photos or photos captured with a digital camera.
Panorama Factory has option for JPG, BMP, PNG, TIFF image kinds and QTVR, IVR and PTViewer virtual reality kinds.
The virtual tour functions make it possible to add hotspots to panoramic photos and to generate and update web pages and thumbnail indexes. Hotspots are used to link panoramas together. E. g., a set of panoramas displaying rooms in a house may be linked together in order that clicking on a doorway moves from one room to another.
Users can trouble-free generate web pages and thumbnail indexes when the panoramic photos are saved. The web pages and thumbnail indexes are created from templates. Some predefined templates are supplied with The Panorama Factory, and users can generate their own templates.
The panorama program optionally corrects for barrel distortion and for brightness falloff, two trouble that are typical to various digital cameras. These trouble may be corrected trouble-free and, if necessary, the user can adjust the corrections interactively. Automatic image alignment and focal length detection may also be adjusted interactively.
